Gizmo's Happy Ending

Gizmo is doing great.  He's fit right into our home and our hearts.  He's been here for a month and it seems as though he's always been here.  He and our 14 year old keeshond mix, Mia, do fine together.  They both like to go for walks and for a 15 year old he is remarkably quick when he sees a rabbit!  He's learned to sit and not take off our fingers when he gets his treats and he seems pretty proud of himself.  He loves to eat, he's inquisitive, and no trash can is safe if he gets bored - we would certainly never have guessed his age correctly - he's a puppy at heart.   All in all he's an absolute delight.  At the weekend,  we took him to the farm where our daughter lives - he got to wade in the creek and touch noses with a cow.  It was a big day for our little guy and he slept really well when we got home.  We are truly blessed to have him and are very grateful for the opportunity to have such a special four legged friend in our lives.

Thanks for all you do.

Pork Chop's Happy Ending

Happy Holidays!!!!  I wanted to send you two pictures of Pork Chop.  He is such an amazing puppy and everyone he has met just loves him.  I can't thank you enough for allowing me to adopt him back in October.  He loves to go for walks in a nearby park and we go for a ride everyday!  He really will make this Christmas special for my whole family.

Have a blessed Christmas and a happy 2014!

Charlie

I'm writing to let you know of the heartbreaking loss of my Charlie, very sudden and unexpected in the very early morning hours of Sunday December 22, 2013.  I am thankful that I was with him at the end and that something made me wake up a few minutes before he passed.  Charlie was such a lovebug, followed me everywhere and was always giving kisses, giving cuddles and ready for a belly rub.  His favorite place was next to his humans and you would often find him resting his head on our legs or feet.  He loved hanging out with my older godsons and nephews and was a wonderful companion to my older cocker spaniel Simba until he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge in May of this year.  It's so hard to believe that I lost them both this year.

While he was only with me just over a short 3½ years, Charlie blessed my life with love, laughs and companionship and will forever be missed.

Thank you for the blessing of having Charlie in my life.

Loretta's Happy Ending

We received an update from Loretta's new family. It sounds like Miss Loretta is a frequent traveler and is having fun in her furever home.
I think we will have a wonderful Christmas with her. We have done a lot of traveling with her the last few weeks; we have a condo in Va Beach that we went to the weekend we got her. We then traveled in SC where our daughter lives. She has meet all of the family dogs except for a very playful yellow lab male. She will probably enjoy playing with him at Christmas. Our daughters' dog is elderly and he tried to play but tires out quickly.

She has been a wonderful addition to our family. She has had a few accidents in the house but nothing out of the ordinary. She definitely doesn't like the rain or the snow.

I have attached a few pictures that I took last week.  The pics are in my office at home where I am well guarded. She also likes to sleep under my desk.

Tommy's Happy Ending

Tommy's new family sent in an update and some pictures. He looks like he is definitely fitting in.  I love the one photo of him sacked out on the couch.  He looks dog tired, probably from those children walking and playing with him.

He is doing fantastic!!! He is fitting right in with our family. We all couldn't be happier. :) Here are some pics for you. He even had an ugly sweater for our annual party this past Saturday. :)

Baxter's Happy Ending
Baxter's new mom called tonight to tell me how much they love, love, love him. He has made himself at home and is already best friends with their other cocker girl "Sammie." He has shown no signs of separation anxiety, listens well and loves running in the fenced back yard. He is learning to walk well on leash and they are simply thrilled with him. They have rocks surrounding their above ground pool...every time he comes in from the back yard he carries in a rock and drops it on the kitchen floor in front of his new mom which makes her laugh...sounds like Baxter is happy in his new forever home!!!!
