Flynn's Happy Ending

Flynn is doing well and couldn't be a better fit for our family. He is best buds with our Golden Retriever. They're together most of the time and play well together. Our Golden is 45lbs larger but very submissive, so it's a fun to watch. Our other dog is an Aussie and typically is not interested in such silly stuff, but he does join in from time to time. Our cat is another story. Flynn wants so badly to be friends, but he's too "in her face" for her liking. She likes to watch the dogs play and is entertained by them.

He does have some quirks though...he does not like to get his feet wet so getting him outside when it is raining is a challenge. He takes stuff...anything he can get his mouth on like a potholder, dish cloth, sock or a toy so you chase him. He will loose interest in a hurry if you don't react, but it drives our two dogs nuts and then the games begin. He loves to inspect bags brought in the house food or not. He wants to take a sniff and take everything out of the bag and then he's happy. He's not a chewer so he doesn't tear things apart.

All in all, we are very fortunate to have found such a good dog and thank you and your organization for doing such a good thing.

Kooper's Happy Ending

Kooper (William) (middle) is fitting in beautifully with our family. Zinny & Cosmo, our other 2 Cocker Spaniels, love and have 100% accepted him from day one. He has been a total love bug with no issues, except chasing the vacuum. He will be going on his first vacation to the Endless Mountains to a cabin for a 3 day weekend and to Luray, VA for a week with his 2 brothers. He is truly a wonderful dog and we cannot thank you enough for saving him and allowing us to be his parents.

Missy's Happy Ending

Missy is doing great! She is so happy now and the Vet is very happy with how well her eyes are doing.  Missy has certainly been a wonderful addition to the family. Thanks to everyone at CSAC and especially Janice Blake!

Quimby's Happy Ending

He is such a joy. He walked in and that was it. He was right at home. He loves his two sisters, Kate and Muffin. They love him too. He has a big yard to run in with the other dogs, and has a comfy bed to sleep in. He is eating well. We took Quimby and Kate on a trip with us, and he did very well. He did lots of walks, and had a great time. He is very loving and affectionate. And he gets lots of love back.

Riley's Happy Ending

 

We are happy to report that Riley has been adjusting very well to his new home, and he has taken his place as a very loved member of our family! Riley is so full of life and fun loving, that other extended family members come to our house to visit with him and play with him. He has been very good during those visits, and enjoys the company of other people.  In short, Riley has been a wonderful addition to our home. We love him, and couldn't imagine our lives now without his unique personality and boundless energy!

Ginger's Happy Ending 

I can only say one thing, "We love her to pieces".  Although we have a long road ahead to show her all about her safe and secure new life, she has come a long way. In the short time we have had her, she has learned so many things. She curls up next to my daughter constantly. She has also learned to climb stairs at our house which she was very leery to do at first. She is also now very comfortable with our other 13 year old Cocker Spaniel. Ginger is such a sweet, lovable, adorable, and truly beautiful dog inside and out. We could not have asked for a better "forever friend". I'm not sure at this point, "Who rescued who?". We needed her as much as she needed us.

Lacey's Happy Ending

Lacey (Left) is a dear, sweet little girl, who deserves a home, baggage and all! When we first agreed to foster Lacey, we thought it would be short term, and I admit to being very worried that I wouldn't have time to deal with all of her medical needs. I also worried that I would have a hard time getting someone to take care of her when we needed to go away. None of that ended up to be a problem, we have a routine each morning and evening to make sure she gets her insulin and eye drops, and my granddaughter, who has always been my dog sitter, was happy to learn to give Lacey her injections. Things have been going very smoothly, Lacey takes her insulin injections and her eye medications like a little trooper.  She is completely cooperative. Lacey made friends with our other dogs the very first night she was here, and made herself right at home.  You can see in the pictures that she and Chance are buddies. She is quiet, well mannered and calm, for the most part a couch potato. She always greets me enthusiastically when I come home, bouncing around with her little butt wiggling. She knows when it is time to eat, and at each meal time she is eager to show her dad where the food is kept! She has only been here about 6 weeks, but I can't imagine  her not being here!
