Kyle's Happy Ending
We adopted Buddy (aka: Kyle) almost 6 months ago. The cocker spaniel we had before adopting Buddy from CSAC was also rescued from an animal shelter. Well, after losing my husband almost 4 years ago now and then losing our 12 year old dog in Oct. 2014. (4 months before we found Buddy), we just needed a dog really bad. The 1st dog we met from your organization didn't work out and my adult son and I were really disappointed. We really thought we were going back home with a dog that day. Then I saw Buddy's picture and write-up and we just had to be the family that would rescue him. Well, when we went to meet Buddy at the kennel, we did go home with a dog. We went home with Kyle who is now Buddy. We were so happy but knew it was just the beginning. But it turned out to be a HAPPY BEGINNING. Buddy adapted well with us from the start. I needed him to be my "buddy". That's why I decided to name him Buddy. Well, he is my buddy for sure. He is my porch buddy, my couch buddy, my sleeping buddy and my shadow. Wherever I go at home, he goes and I mean everywhere. And if I'm not home, he's constantly following my son.. As for my son, I am shocked because he has never been this close to a dog throughout his entire life. Buddy already has touched our lives and hearts, helped us through bad days and given us so much love and affection. We just love him so much and we know he loves us too by his wagging tail and his awesome greeting at the door when we come home. We have learned his different barks - a mean bark when protecting us and his territory, a bark with his tail wagging and he also has a howling bark. He makes us laugh at his howling bark. It is so cute. We are so thankful to CSAC for the awesome work they do finding homes for dogs and for allowing us to adopt Buddy and give him another beginning in our home. HIS FOREVER HOME.

Sparky's Happy Ending
Sammy, formerly Sparky, has been such a joy to have in my home. Not sure if I saved him or he saved me as when I adopted him, I had just lost another rescue cocker spaniel to cancer. He is very loving and craves petting from any human. He is always wanting to meet other dogs when we encounter them on our walks. The first thing he does when I get home from work and we have greeted each other is he hightails it to my bed and gets all comfy. When he sleeps at night, of course, it is with me!
We are working on our inside manners as he was rescued from a farm where he was just left outside and roamed freely. But he loves to please me so is coming along very nicely. He is really afraid of thunder storms and lightning. When he senses a storm brewing in the distance, he is not a happy camper. He can be quite stubborn at times when he decides that his way is better than mine. As much as he is loving and a cuddler he is also a stinker!
As you can tell by his pictures, I am letting his hair grow. He loves to be groomed and will stand perfectly still while I brush/comb him. He is such a beautiful dog with a loving temperament. He is very good with kids as well as cats, other dogs, adults, anyone he meets. I feel so very lucky to have found Sammy and given the opportunity to adopt him.

Charlie's Happy Ending
Charlie is a wonderful addition to our family. He is feisty but loves to curl up and nap. Charlie also likes to be close to his family. He is very inquisitive and loves to chew on his bones. Charlie has made several new doggy friends in the neighborhood. We are so thankful to the CSAC for looking after Charlie and for letting us adopt him into our family.

Penelope's Happy Ending
We adopted Pippa (formerly Penelope) in December of 2014. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. However, don’t ask Casey and Siena our 12 year old cockers as they may give you a different answer if they could. She has the sweetest temperament! Pippa is snuggly and gives lots of cuddles and kisses and is full of puppy energy. As a family, we feel privileged to have the opportunity to care for Pippa and provide a loving home for her for the rest of her life. We are grateful to CSAC and all they do to rescue these sweet dogs and set them on their way to second chance to a better life. Pippa is our second rescue from CSAC our first rescue was Casey five years ago and he his my lover boy!! Thank you CSAC from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to adopt both Pippa and Casey as we could not imagine our lives without them.

Stan's Happy Ending
Stan, now Andy is doing fantastic! He is a
wonderful part of our family! His older "sister" Missy, definitely
treats him as a little brother. She keeps him in line! Just don't notice
when they're cuddled on the couch side by side for nap times! When
it's time to run outside to see friends, they run along the fence side by
side, or sit in the shade together. As the smaller one, she has to let
him know at times she's the boss! Andy eggs it on. I think he likes the
game! He loves his evening walks. He is positive there is a bunny under every
bush! The great hunter is learning to "let it go"! He loves to chase
bugs and eat them. Fireflies in the evening are more fun than a puppy
can stand! We are working on that. Such a puppy! He loves to chew bones, play pull, and jump! Fetch is ok, but pull is
much more fun! He actually is quite the goat. He loves to chew paper,
and be chased to get it! Although it is a delightful game to him, mom
worries that it isn't such a good game! We love our little boy! He's one adorable addition to our family!

Bella's Happy Ending
I want to thank CSAC for giving me the opportunity to adopt Bella (center of trio) who was an
owner turn in and has truly brought so much love and companionship to us and our
other older Cocker, Kniko (left) and also to our newest addition, Cavi, now Bailey (right) as
you can see in the picture. Thank you CSAC for all you do.

In Memory of Bart...
I had him for almost 9 years. He was a sweet soul. His tail never stopped wagging and was a true velcro Cocker. He loved everyone and everyone loved him!!! He used to whine at the vets office, if he couldn't meet another animal. I think that his heart took up his abdomen because it was always full of love and sweetness. I will miss him terribly.
